Hurricane Jane

There’s a storm brewing off the coast of Africa
The hurricane hunter’s been watching her
Man on the TV says this might be the one
Them Weather Station boys gonna have them some fun

It’s late in the season and the water is warm
The perfect conditions for another named storm
We made it through the alphabet G, H, & I
“J “is up next you better run and hide

Cause you ain’t seen nothing like Hurricane Jane
A beautiful storm, but dangerous just the same
Moving northwest at a steady pace
Hearts could be scattered all over the place

When I turned on the TV it was love at first sight
I saw her on the weather map late one night
She’s come along way from a little ole depression
Effects of this storm could have a lasting impression

So you think you know a little bit about any storm
You know about the pressure & where the eye wall is formed
But where she is headed is hard to conclude
She’s got an Irish temper and a New York attitude.

And you ain’t seen nothing like Hurricane Jane
A beautiful storm, but dangerous just the same
Moving northwest at a steady pace
Hearts could be scattered all over the place

It’s been many years since that storm has come through
I stood right in the path cause I knew just what to do
Don’t worry about the damage we can clean it up later
She’s running straight into a Texas Tornado

And you ain’t seen nothing like Hurricane Jane
A beautiful storm, but dangerous just the same
Moving northwest at a steady pace
Hearts could be scattered all over the place
My heart was scattered all over the place
